Beyond the Knowledge
Sandy Bornholdt and Rochelle Jensen

This two part workshop will explore, in depth, one of the vital components of 21st century teaching and learning - creating rich, authentic tasks – tasks which are powerful to learn and involve powerful learning. Strategies which can be used to create rich contexts will be unpacked and practical ideas on how to use ICTs, thinking tools and thinking frameworks throughout a rich task, will be demonstrated.
Home - Beyond the Knowledge

Participants will come away with practical ideas for use back in their schools. As well as this participants will have the opportunity to view exemplars, and create rich tasks to be published in an online resource bank. Underlying the ideas presented in this workshop will be the theories of international thinking experts including Atkin, Pohl, Harpaz and Lefstein.
A laptop with an internet connection will be necessary.
Participants must commit to both sessions.
